A fruit snack that was so delicious
In 1991, Betty Crocker released a soda-flavored fruit snack that many people still long for today.
The pop bottle and mug-shaped snacks came in popular soda flavors like cherry cola and root beer, as well as fruity flavors.
Sodalicious was a fitting name for the product that had a unique coating that gave snackers a tingling sensation similar to what they’d experience drinking a soda pop.
Unfortunately, the fruit flavored snacks fell flat in 1995 and the soda flavors fizzled out for good in 1998.
Our General Mills Archives team chats about the delicious fruit snacks in the third episode of our “Inside the General Mills Archives” video series.
